Ok everyone. Unfortunately my car was viciously attacked by flying stones today. The city decided to turn a paved road into gravel without posting any under construction signs. It was a 1 way street and closest turn off was 2 km down the road. Happened a few weeks ago. Insurance company and body shop finally came to an agreement. Now the shocker. Estimated $10,000.00 to $14,000.00 to repair the damage Thank god for insurance.

Anyway, since they have to repaint the entire car I was contemplating painting it Grabber Orange. Sure I love the looks of my car but since it is going to be a show car next year and no longer a daily driver, now is the perfect time to do this. What do you guys think?

I am also looking for other ideas so I am going to see what you photoshop guys can come up with.

Is it not going to be a LOT more to repaint it a different colour, since you'll have to paint the engine bay etc.. etc.. The stone chips are only on the exterior

Not a lot more. We were thinking that if I go with Grabber Orange and black stripes we would paint the inside of the engine bay black. Sure, it will be tricky but we will remove enough parts to git r done.

Just remember, this is only a thought, does not necessarily mean it is going to happen.

No question. Grabber orange with black stripes.

The only other option I could think of would be a dark green with white stripes.

I'm going to be the miniorty here but I wish you could keep the color scheme as is - that is one of the things I LOVE about your car is how the wheels and the stripes and the body color all pull together to make one special package...... :worship:

In the end, its your car and do what makes ya happy John

But I vote for maintaining as is.

alright, I gave it more thought and have decided this......

I am keeping the car Sonic Blue. The white stripes are going to be spaced out 2" apart to line up properly with the Street Scene custom grill. I am also going to make the stripes wider, 13" instead of 10 3/4". Just wish it never happened.

Oh well, I will close this post.
