opinions on stripe combos, redfire gt

Guys,

I have a very reputable stripe and graphics guy here in town that will do 10" shelby lemans stripes in gloss black with 1/4" pinstripe for around $350. installed everything.

I love the look of the shelby stripes but I also saw a Gt with the 69 boss style side stripe, smaller hood stripe and then a rear blackout panel that looked very good as well.

what do you guys think? I have attached a couple pics for comparison.

Lemans stripes are awesome but its your car, your money, and your call !
I would highly recommend paint vs vinyl tape.

IMO Shellby stripes with pin stripes are for Camaro's.

There are a lot of opinions on the best width, and if you do some homework you will learn that the original Shelby stripes were slightly tapered in width.

I think the stripes look better when they run chin to chin, but some prefer not.

In the end, its really depends what works for you.

I think you should design a more custom stripe for your ride borrowing from Mustang heratige. Everyone with out body style car is going Lemans and to me it is a little Cliche already.

Good luck either directions that you go.

I think I will get a spoiler delete Satin Silver GT with Steeda hood, painted black on raised part of the hood, with a small red border (that way it will be unique as your's is orange). I will black out the rear, shave off the medallion and add a "GT" side emblem.
On the front I will add a GT-500 front fascia with a red flaming tribar pony on the grille (again the red is unique).
I will then add some grey 20" Foose Nitros wheels.

It will look real cool at Jenros when I park next to you. LeMan stripes aren't sounding too bad now huh?

It was good to see you and your brother out there today.

I agree 100%, which is why I designed my own supersnake inspired stripes. (See sig for pics) Lemans, boss, mach, or supersnake... they all look great. You won't be the first one, no matter what you do, so do what makes you happy.

well heres mine, One suggestion I will give you, save the money and have them painted. I love mine it definitely changes the look of the car, but I should have spend the extra money and had it painted. It's only about 1200 near me to have them painted. I paid about 600 I think for mine. Good luck Heres mine with satin silver 10" with 2" gap I believe.
