Man I hope the aftermarket makes these for the 05!

That's a billet aluminum gas cap for a 1965-73 Stang, but man it would look good between the tail lights of an 05

The pony one up top would look sweet polished up and used on an '05...SO many options with this car....probably never see two of them exactly the same again after they leave the lot.....we're modding these to death......haha

We need one that's a little smaller than the stock one.
In person it looks even worse, IMO.

Wouldn't work, not easily.

The keyhole is part of the emblem. If you make the whole emblem smaller, it still has to house the keyhole, so the emblem moves UP instead of remaining centered.

The only way to do this with a smaller badge is to remove the external key and go to a remote trunk operation. Better have a failsafe for that as well, because remotes fail occasionally.

That sux. Didn't think of that.
Option 2 is removing it if I install a black-out panel between the tail lights.
