I tried it and I can still roast the tires as long as I want if I chose to throw $$$ right out the window!! I don't want to, so no dumping the clutch above 3500RPM.
Well, you also have to figure that the Shelby comes with 19's, not 18's which is the only size your can get for aftermarket unfortunately. Great choice man, I got some of the same coming next week, in Chrome 18x9.5 with Nitto 555's.

Thanks for the compliments! I will say, my fuel milage has gone down since installing these tires. One would expect that with that much rolling friction. But of course what is there about Mustangs that are effecient? I know I didn't care too much about efficiency when I bought the car, and the coolness of the new wheels / tires far outweighs the extra spent on fuel.
Having big fat tires on the rear is only really good for looks. They do hook up a bit better though. I have my first autocross this weekend so I will see if they really perform well or not.

I remember my 67 HEMI Charger getting a best of 8MPG on the hiway.I wasn't counting gallons or mileage back then. The big speedo gauge went one way,the small fuel guage went the other...just as fast.
