Nice, my shaker just shipped yesterday. I CAN"T WAIT!

Where did you get your stripes, and is there a measurements for them.

Thanks. Hood stripe is painted. Side stripes are vinyl for now. Can measure later when I get home if you like?

The car looks fantastic. I agree with acadian how you didn't put any Mach 1 emblems on the car. Looks hot, but you have to take that Stang NET frame off the licence plate.

Thanks. I would like a Mustang source plate but none are available?

Scott, you really do need a set of Magnums for that ride. Not that I'm biased or have a set for sale.....but the look of them (either the Ford ones or my style) would be the icing on your Mach 1 cake.

Looks very nice. If I am forced to make a critical review it would be that you used gloss black instead of the flat black from the 70 model.

Thanks but it is a tribute and not meant to be exact. Ever try and wax a car with flat black and gloss on the same panel... ..no thanks.

I know...not enough $$$$$ at this time. Already sunk over $3,000 into the car. Car is paid for so not much extra $$$ to spend...spent it all..

Hrmm.. didn't think about the waxing issue but I can imagine the hassles. Anyways, nice work, subtle modding is always what I like the best. You definitely got it right.

Hey Scott!! Scott here!!
I love your car. I guess you got a head start on me. Ordered my CDC shaker and honeycomb panel this last weekend. Should all be here by Friday. As you can see I have a 70 Mach 1 (fully restored) to copy from. I have a vert so window louvers are not an option for me but I think they would look great on your car. Not sure why but I would not paint your spoiler black. These cars will never be like the originals but they sure can look good. What do you think about a retro hood tach??? Can't wait to get my stuff and take a picture of the 70 sitting next to the 05- shakers and all.

hate to ask, but in the 'front-on' pic, the drivers front corner of the scoop-
does the scoop bezel distort the hood a little, or is that just reflection/clouds?

one worry I have about cutting hood was flexing it too much...do they recommend you cut hole with reciprocating saw, cut off wheel, or metal nibbler? I'd really like to add one...

I dunno, but doubt its 'flat' black...I'd love to get about a 60% gloss black mach1 pattern on my hood and same paint on rearwing, rocker covers, and lower trim line on rear bumper to match front spoiler...semigloss should still wax OK, just wont have any depth to it...kinda like armoralling tires- shiny but not deep...

No it is the reflections. Hood is not distorted at all. The hood has bracing all around the cut-out and was made to remove the center.
