OK, I have a Red Fire GT. I have the back painted like I want



Now it is to the hood. I have a CDC Classic Chin that is black in the mail - on its way to me. However, I am undecided about the hood paint. I originally was going to go with the Steeda look


or



But I have also seen some other schemes I like.



I like the shaker hood scoop, but have not made a final decision on it. So this hood paint should accomodate having or not having a shaker scoop.

What is your opinion on the hood paint - which design?

 

Personally, I want to go with the one on the bottom for my car. I guess it depends on how you really feel about each of them.

 

If I do anything it will be like a Mach1's hood. So the picture of the white car, but not the sides.

 

Bottom pic. It will look good with or with out the shaker hood scoop.

 

I personally like the second car's paint scheme better, but only because the pin-stripe around the edge gives it a much more finished look. I have always wondered what a glossy black hood with the MACH I style pinstriping would look like.

I like the white car pic, but what about putting a 1.5" gap in the middle?
It will make the hood look longer and sleeker.

 

These stripes imo look like they belong on a Chevelle.

 

I like the white one. Looks good coming up a bit short with the pinstriping around it.

 

Anyone have dimensions of the lines on the white car?

 

I like the Mach 1 look - with the shaker...

 

Personally, I kinda like the '70 Mach 1 hood paint scheme with the shaker
