Finally got around to taking some pic's. The hood was installed on Friday and went very well. I have an appointment Wednesday to get the Motive 3.90 gears put in.

FYI: My hood is definatley going to need hood pins....I took it up to 130 mph yesterday and I had to back out of it, it was shaking worse than my stock hood by quite a bit. I lowered the hood latch to get a tighter seal, and adjusted the hood bumper's. I've been studing the new hood and the pin location delima, and I think the solution is going to involve fabricating a bracket to weld the pins to. That way you can properly locate the pins to work right...

There you are! I knew you didn't leave us for a Saturn forum like somebody said?

The car looks great and I think the hood looks wicked just by itself.
You will be sooooo happy with the lower gears!

Thank's,
LOL that Saturn crowd is rough... Yah I'm going to leave the hood just like it is (no skull's ect.). It look's clean and classic.I'm probably going to wish I went with 4.10's, I cant wait to get them in.

It does look clean and classic. There's only 5% diff with the gears. 3.90's is still low enough for fun and strip. The stripes look good in combo with the hood also. Good thing you blacked out that license plate.............you want to stay incognito, ya know!

VJ - the new hood looks outstanding on your steed. Although I'll miss "The Punisher" - it looks fantastic without it too.

Now that's what I'm talking 'bout!! Looking real good VJ -- Glad to see the finally got you all put back together. LMK how the fabrication on tha t bracket goes -- I try not to break 115 - over fear of my hood taking flight.

The ducktail is from CDC, I'll take some more pic's for you. The snake's are on the right way. They are off a 1968 Shelby and that is how they put them on back then.

Thank's LL, Yah I can understand not going over 115mph... I was hoping this hood would stay put a little better. I'm just going to have to get creative. My buddy has a nice welder, so I will start fabricating this weekend.

Thank's Adrenalin, I think you would have been proud of my vinyl guy. He did a great job tucking the stripe's into the scoop's.

The stripes really compliment the hood's ram air scoops.

I have wondered what stripes would look like on that hood with such a large space between the inlets...

That really looks nice. Great job.
