Named my car HURST GT w/pic
Hurst Shifter is on its way and I have now named my car, HURST GT. Installed this emblem today, I will put one on each side under the GT emblem an 1 inside the car...Ok, I am asking for everybody's opinion, flame me or praise me...bring it on!
Better pics to follow
ooops, forgot the pic, lets try this again.

I am going to name my car, the Saleen GT. Even though I don't have the SC yet, or any other Saleen part, but I will get some stickers.
Not sure one 200 dollar part is enough to name my car after.
But hey, it's your car, call it what you like.

putting anything there that it is not, like GT 500 or cobra or Shelby!!!
I have always love the Hurst emblems, boots, shifters, etc, etc...really brings me back!

Its not just a 200 dollar part, its retro and cool. What were all the hurst cars anyway, a hurst shifter, some stripes and decals/emblems, maybe an exhaust and bigger sway bar....well isn't that what we are doing to our Stangs plus a little???

Where'd you get the Hurst emblems? I would think about putting one on the dash somewhere when I get that Hurst shifter.

I am not flaming you. You can do whatever you want with your car. To each his own. However, the Hurst Olds, to which I am sure you are harkening, was not a shifter and a sticker package. The '68 and '69 standard 442 W-30 came with 400 cid, 360 hp engines. I also believe the induction was under the front bumper (I am not entirely sure on the induction). The Hurst Olds had a 390 hp, 455 cid V-8, with forced induction and a ton more torque, 500 ft-lbs. to be exact. As I said, personalize your car however you want, but Husrt was more than stickers and a shifter....at least originally. After 1970, everything seems to have become a sticker package.
