Sam- yes, those are the factory Perelli's.
Adrenalin- yes, I did put loc-tite on the spacer lug nuts. Good call.
And I edited my previous post... meant to say no need to get new studs.

Spacers ~do~ have an affect on the car other than the aesthetics.
Your unsprung weight goes up a little (not good).
Your front suspension is now leveraged out 1" more from the pivot point. This allows the weight of the car (unchanged) to have more leverage on the spring, so it will actually sit a slight bit (probably unnoticeable) lower in the front. It basically changes the dynamics of the front end. It may be subtle, but it changes (more up/down motion, more roll).
The rear will have possibly a bit more roll as well, but the spacers will not affect up/down motion when the car is simply oscillating over a bump.
Luckily for our member here, it seems that the small amounts of change weren't detrimental.

I really don't know why Ford doesn't sell the car that way, it looks so much better with the wheels flush like that.

Dan, do you think Ford will put the 18x9'' rims on the 06?
By the way Adrenalin, love that color combination. looks nice! What's the color of the blue called?

$100 isn't too bad when you take into account that they are solid block aluminum and come with their own wheel stud extensions and lug nuts. With cheaper spacers you have to buy longer wheel studs and that can add up at a few bucks a piece. They retail for $150 a pair, so $100 ain't too bad. It's all about where you want to put your money, and I think it's well worth $200 for me to bring the wheels out an inch. As far as adverse affects in handling... there is a nice turn I take every day on the way home and I took it real fast yesterday (and have taken it just as fast before putting on the spacers) and it felt like there was less roll... like I had more control too. But, could be my imagination. Either way, I surely don't feel anymore roll than before. As far as hurting the suspension parts, I doubt it. It would be the same as getting wheels with a higher offset, or wider wheels. Putting them just on the back looks good though... I actually installed the rear ones first to see if I liked the look enough to send back the front pair. But, after putting on the fronts, I was sold.

Correct me if I am wrong:
But couldn't you get almost the same effect by installing earlier (2003-2004) Bullitt Rims, with a factory offset of 24mm?
Since the 05 wheels are 45 mm offset, the difference would be 21mm.
21mm = .82677 in.
That would eliminate the issue of spacers.

Yeah, I suppose you are right, but I didn't want to pay $600+ for a set of new wheels, plus the money to mount/balance my tires on them. $200 is a lot less for the same affect. Not to mention, I personally prefer the '05 bullitts to the earlier ones. They have a more retro look.
