My Stang after installing H&R 1" Wheel Spacers
#1
For anyone interested in bringing the wheels out more without having to get wider tires, or if you are like me and plan on adding wider tires in the fututr, but don't feel that it will be enough, her's a pic after installing the H&R 1" wide wheel spacers...

I honestly don't really feel a difference, except that I can sorta feel a wider stance when taking turns. Could be my imagination though, but you would think the wider tires, the better the handling.

I would assume that you are correct in regards to a 9" rim with the same offset giving the same look. I am getting a test fit of 18x10 with a 30mm offset to see how it looks.
Acadian, I didn't know you got your car striped. Looks great

You can see the spacers when installed... between the rotors and the wheels. It almost looks like it's part of the wheel though. It's not very noticeable.
And adrenalin... they are real hood pins. I actually had to drill holes into my hood, which was tough. But I am taking this car as retro as I can, so the hood pins were a must. Next mod is a ducktail spoiler.

I really don't know why Ford doesn't sell the car that way, it looks so much better with the wheels flush like that.

Dan -- great pics on the 18" wheels. I am still not sure why Ford just didn't decrease the offset a little and have the stock wheels fit like that? No matter, at least it is a relatively easy fix.
acadian-- did you have to get longer wheel studs?

The spacers I got had wheel studs on them. Extensions, basically. It was all one piece though, so no need to get new studs. You attach the spacers (with studs attatched on them) onto the wheels with supplied lug nuts. Then, attach the wheels onto the new studs that are attached to the spacers.
