My quote for painted stripes
Yeah, I am pretty sure that I am going to stick with the white. I looked at some of the other Silver stangs on the board and I like the white better. I may have them Pearl the color, but I have a week to figure that one out.
You have a different idea? I am always open to suggestions.

Not taking them off, to me anyway, spells trouble. I'm sure others would agree with me.
I don't see a problem. Also double the price for four stripes ( two front and two back) about a foot long???
What he is referring to is the clearing of the parts. When they are on the car, it is very difficult to clear the parts.
WIth my car, they are going to completely disassemble the front and rear bumpers and paint on the stripes. This also allows them to paint the stripes on completely so that there are no hard-stops visible. Then when they are done painting the stripes, they will clear the entire part so that there are no hard edges.
Costs a bit more, but I think that the end product will be worth it.

I am definately leaning towards the white stripe still. Here is a link to the GT500 Stripe painter and you can play with all the colors.

$2500 seems about right. I paid $2312, for stripes under clearcoat with PPG paint. I also had some front bumper scratches repaires. Don't forget all that should come apart to do the job properly. They sand the hood, roof, decklid, plus my guy said if you go with an aftermarket spoiler there is the possibility that it will need some work so it lines up properly.
I feel no line and the stripes are crisp and perfect.
To give an idea from my bill:
Hope this helps,

To give an idea from my bill:
- 6 hours labor@ 44.0 / hr to lay out the stripes
- 4 hours labor @ 44.0 / hr to spray them
- 30 hours total for all other masking, taking apart and reassembly
- $552 in paint and materials used.
Hope this helps,
Donna

Well, dropped the car off today and the striping has begun.
Cool thing with the shop that I am using, Daku Auto Body, is that they post pictures of the progress. Here is a link to the site:
