My latest appearearance mod......not by choice!!!

I haven't driven my car to work in probably two months. We had a nice sunny day today so I thought it would be a good day to get the Mustang out. As I was getting on the highway I saw something that I thought was a rock or dirt clod rolling and skipping right towards me. I had a cement retaining wall on one side of me and a truck on the other side of me so I had to stay the course and "bang." I got to work and this is what I saw. The object coming towards me was a rusty coiled piece of metal, almost like a spring. I'm still carrying it with me. You can see it in the pics. This could have been a lot worse.

Cripes! At least no metal got bent! I hate when you see it and just know its gonna hit. Something bounced and whacked my windshield a couple days ago, I got lucky on that one. I thought it was gonna go over me so I ducked a bit to help-worked as well as leaning that bowling ball into the strike zone...

What a drag. Thank God it didn't come through your windshield!

That sucks. Hopefully it didn't rupture the condenser. Have fun straightening all of those fins! You leave it in there and contact your insurance carrier. That would be covered under comprehensive which usually has a pretty low deductible.

Sorry to see that. You've done so much work on your car. Hope it didn't hurt anything too badly. Glad you're OK.

Man that sucks, but you're right, could have been worse. Believe it or not, I smacked a hawk with my windshield the other day. SOB came from the left, saw me coming and turned left right in front of me...SMACK...right in the middle of the windshield. Zero damage (to the car), but needless to say, I drove straight to the carwash to spray her down asit left pretty much everything on my windshield.

Cool

I went over to robs and saw that thing. I have no idea what it is but it does appear that some welder out there lost a major project

About a month ago this happened in the SF Bay Area.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- An off-duty San Jose police officer is in fair and stable condition Thursday after a trailer tow hitch came through his front windshield at 65 mph, NBC11 reported.

San Jose police Officer Enrique Garcia was off duty at the time of the incident. He was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries to his face and arm.

She's being fixed as we speak!!!!!!!! Just dropped her off.

Update:

Just got her back. Good as new. The piece of metal was a spring hinge off of a dump truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I knew the owner!
