MGP Satin Silver brake caliper covers?

Anyone here have these on their Mustang? I go back and forth on the red ones. Not sure if I like them or not, but the satin ones seem like they might blend in nicely with the stock wheels. Would love to see some pics if anyone has them. Thanks!

IMO, just paint the stock calipers if thats the look you want. You'll save a lot of money that way too.

The covers look too much like you're trying to fake having a big brake kit or something to me.

Caliper Covers

Here's a few pics of my 07 GT/CS with the covers. First are with the GT/CS wheels. Now have the GT 500 wheels.

There are people who spend a lot of money for brake cooling. Others give out money so that it brakes to have warm.

just paint the stock calipers ... everything else is embarrassed.

Don't buy covers man. Paint them things. It's easy to do.

I don't like the painted look at all. I'm trying to decide if the red or the silver is the best option. Would still like to see more pics of the satin silver, namely on a black GT.

how do you not like the painted look, but want the ridiculous caliper covers?

they're visually obviously fake, and just look poser-ish.

It's just my opinion. I don't really see the covers as "poser-ish" though. It's not like they say Brembo on them or even have the same shspe as the Brembo brakes. Plus I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on the big Brembo's.

You don't see them that way, but most people do. It's all good. It's your car. Just don't be surprised at the reaction you'll get from other car enthusiasts.

...under the covers comes no air. The brake dust can not go anywhere... not with the water hose. The brake fading shall not better... a forum member here in Germany have honed the covers because they made noise etc.etc. There is no advantage only the optics. I meant no harm. But the money you can save...

Caliper Covers

Thanks Silver. To those of you who don't like em, oh well. Its my car and I do, and that's all that matters. I appreciate the fact that no one has "downed" my GT, and only commented on their like or dislike of only the covers. There are many mods that others have made to their cars that I don't like, but it's what they like and thats all that counts, and I would never say or post anything about their taste. To everyone; mod em as you like.

No worries Man. I used to have halo headlights and the mustang community hated them but I liked them. It's all about what you like. I was just saying be prepared because most folks think covers are symbolic of being fake or poser-like. What you like, you like. People are always gonna hate something.

I have the black ones and I have not once had anyone say anything negative about them. I don't feel the MGP are poser. Anyone that knows mustangs knows what they are and either you like them or you don't. it's your ride and your wallet.

I am of the opinion that the stock brakes look *awful*, and the covers are more desireable a look than painting them.

I don't like the idea that the brakes will get hotter... but then I realize the OTHER SIDE of the caliper is where the cooling should matter, and the rotors will get the same amount of air, so this idea that they make brakes hotter is just... well, bunk, IMO.

/I would have had them a while back, except you can't NOT get the stupid rivet look. I hate that. I want them smoothed out... hence my not yet gettin' them.
//Saw a yellow Vette pass me with red ones on their brakes... looked good, actually.

So exactly how much brake dust to they keep away? I think I'm pretty sold on the red calipers now, but I want to buy a tuner first. I think they'll look sharp with the black and dark gray on my car though.
