MGAW Shock Covers with D-Specs?

Anyone know if the MGAW shocker covers will fit with Tokico D-Spec shocks? I called them today and they basically had no clue. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm almost positive that they don't. They're quite a bit taller than the stock struts.

Thumbs up Install them already ......

When are you going to drop that sonic? Throw some white stripes on it
while your at it.

I still have to throw on my GT500 front control arms next weekend.
Can't wait to get my GT500 wheels and tires and get my baby aligned.

The kids birthday is this month so PS3 should be here Tuesday. So had to put off the GT500 wheels til next paycheck.

Should be getting done 2 weeks from now. I just got the car back from the dealership today with the upper strut mounts replaced.

Good to know the family comes before the car. The GT500 wheels will be worth the wait.

I can't speak to the Tokiko's but I do know the MWAG shock tower covers do fit over FRPP struts...

Another thing they don't fit over, by the way, is a BMR strut tower brace. Well they didn't till Mr. Dremel paid them a visit!

Thanks!

Mr. Dremel helped me put in my Hurst shifter.

Well I know it is late but I have the answer to this question. I had the chance this weekend to kind of test fit a set of them on my car from a friends car. Without snapping them on completely I made the decision that I thought I could make them work. All i could figure is I might have to Dremel a small amount where the struts goes through the center and I think they will fit. So i went ahead and purchased them and they arrived today. So i took the nut off the top of the Tockico's only way possible they will fit by the way and pushed them on without any issue. Seems MWAG may have even made the center whole a bit larger than the set my buddy had.

So yes they do fit.

I spoke to MWAG awhile back on these, they said they will fit and that have drilled a hole in some of them and included a grommit so the Tokico's can be adjusted without removing the cover. Might be option if you are getting the ones with emblem on them.

Funny. I was just thinking about buying some and drilling a hole in them today. So, what you're saying is that if I email them, they can give me a set predrilled with grommets?

Wish I had known this prior to ordering mine. Wonder if they will send me the grommet if this is the case and tell me what size drill bit to use.

I'm sure Leo (Leo_06GT) said that if you remove the top rubber cap off the D-Specs, the MWAG will snap in place.

I'll have him chime in here.

So I contacted MWAG about drilling the hole in the cap and you cannot get one with any of the logos if you choose this option. It will just be a plain black portion.

My mistake I left that part out of my post. I missed the NO before the emblem.
