Mach 1 stlye striping

I'm considering getting the mach 1 style stripe on my hood and was wondering if I can order those in vinyl or will I have to have them professionally painted. Also I have a black car and probably going to do it in matte black. If any one has any pics of this I would love to see them. I've decided I'm going to go for the mach 1 look.

Check the stripe manufacturers like Auto Trim Design or Graphics Express. One of them, I can't remember which, has a Mach 1 style hood graphic.

Any vinyl stripe installer can cut a set for you.
You don't have to buy a kit.

vinyl. This is exactly what I want It's only on the hood. Any Idea of the price difference between vinyl and having them painted on?

It depends on where you're from and if you want a clearcoat put over the painted stripes.
Vinyl can be as little as $100 and paint can be as much as $1000 for just the hood depending on how good you want it done.

Fang charges $1249.00 for unpainted hood with shaker system and $1749 for it painted, so they charge $500 more for painting your hood.

I know this doesn't exactly translate to the actual cost of getting the stripes painted on but it's all I got to go on.

OK well thanks for the info. I want to go vinly cause it's cheaper but I've seen vinyl stripes and I hate how you can see it sit a few centimeters over the paint.

Matte Black Vinyl

Worked well for me at $80 a set. Holds up really well.

The black cars in your #4 post above are Fang products.

If you are looking at Vinyl, Rickoshay had his done by Daryl Stone, owner of Classic Sign & Design in Concord, NC (ph. 704-782-2900). See this post for more info. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showpo...0&postcount=11

His car is the yellow one in your post # 4 above.
