I always liked the old mach1 hood, kinda a all-time favorite, but to my eye, that version is kinda puffed up looking...the old one was near flat. I saw one a few weeks ago on the road, just seemed a little too high to me- but I thought the 03 mach1 shaker hoood looked kinda puffy too, even though I generally love the shakers...
I generally thought cowl hoods 'fit' more appropriately on GM stuff, but saw some of the Kaenen(sp?) cowl hoods on 05-ups that looked right at home, some others that looked overly huge...
The Mach hood looks nice, I just would opt for a slightly flatter version, mostly due to my decades old mental picture of a boss351 hood...realistically not possible with the S197 hood curvature... anyways, just one guys opinion, and anything looks better than the flat hood Ford gave us- I just lean more to the subtle lines of a 3" cowl or a fang/foose/aeroform 69-ish hood with scoop

A guy in my local club has it and I honestly hate it. It is very big, puffy is probably the best word to describe it lol. It just doesnt flow right with the lines of the S197, it looks big and awkward looking IMO

from that angle I kinda like it
the one I'd seen on the road sat a lot higher, not sure how many manufacturers are making them...
still a favorite was the old original version- but the more flat hoodline of the 71 lent itself well to the NACA style ducts

Yeah that's why MRT's '68 vented hood is a fail. They had to puff it up to allow room for the recessed vents. But it totally changes the lines.

maybe its just the paint. I kinda like the look of the one on ebay with a bit of a bump in it. The one from trufiber looks alot taller and more rounded around the scoops.I think I would start off with it being all LLime. Its tough as hell picking out something like this site unseen. I'm not set on any one hood, mine is pitting pretty bad.
