Thumbs up

I saw these light bulbs on Mustang Tuning and was wondering if anyone knows anything about these bulbs? I wanted Silverstars but, they aren't being produced and I have Silverstars in my fogs. I need something to match up with the fogs and I don't want something that is going to burn up my headlight housing or melt the reflectors. So, anyone have any experience or knowledge of these bulbs? TIA.

The only insight I can offer is make sure they're the stock wattage, 55/65w. Anything higher could melt the black cover over the bulb - I speak from experieince

The description on the site says 60/55 watts of power usage and high tech filaments emitting 135/130 watts of light out put. http://www.mustangtuning.com/luminic...ure-white.html

I have the Nokya arctic white bulbs in my headlights and my fogs and I love them. The color looks great. I recomend these bulbs to everyone.

So don't attempt to use 100/90's??
Did you have to replace the headlamp assembly in the Mustang?

I bought a set of cheap (and I mean cheap - like $15 shipped ) off of eBay. The auction said "stock wattage", but the bulbs said "90/100W" on them - not really sure if this was the draw or the output, but about 4 days after putting them in my car, I smelled plastic burning. I thought it might be the connector, but it looked like it was the black plastic bulb cover Out with the crappy bulbs and in with the yellow stockers until the price drops on a set of quality H13 hyper whites!

Thanks for the reply Dave. I am thoroughly confused but, I will figure it out hopefully. I don't want to burn up my light housing but, I'm sick of the yellow looking headlights. Guess I'll wait and see what happens with Jason's lights.

i have the luminics bulbs in for a few months now. they work great. i had gotten the cheapies off ebay and they died really quick. inside of 2 months. then i got the 90w ones for brighter light but it was overloading the headlight socket and begining to melt it so i took them out. i then got the luminics ones and have not had any problems. the light is a whitish blue. doesnt light up the road quite as good as the stock ones, but with my nokya arctic whites in the fogs, they do more than compensate. with both together its brighter than stock

I got my Luminics today. It looks kinda dark out with just the headlights but, with the Silverstar equipped fogs everything is nice and bright. These are kinda blueish tint to them and kinda make my Silverstars look orangeish yellow. I really wish Silverstar could make H13 bulbs. This would be a whole lot easier.
