I recieved some Steeda Sport Springs yesterday...but now I'm reluctant to put them on.

Please post some pictures of your rides lowered.

ok ok - I've decided to keep my springs and my car should be lowered tomorrow.

I will post pictures. So far I have the rear springs on and to tell you the truth it doesn't look too bad like that. But tomorrow while it's at the dealer getting the strut supports replaced I'm having them install the new springs as well.


SO let's get this thing started! I know there is at least a couple people on here with lowered cars. POST em

 

Let us know if you end up having to do camber plates or bolts, and if you have to put on an adjustable panhard bar.

 

Jason....sorry, no pics to post yet but you'll love the look.....and the ride is only marginally stiffer. I had Steeda's installed last week after weeks and weeks of debating. Bottom line....I'm glad I did. The car looks a thousand % better and handles better. The alignment shop next to Steeda.ca did the final touches and NO CAMBER PLATES were needed, in fact the guy (and this is the shop that does up all the cars for Legendary Motorcars, quite the place up here in Canada) said that my car was far from needing them. Some cars may differ but the Steeda drop is minimal and everyone that Steeda.ca has installed didn't require them.

So good luck. I'd send you a pic but it's pissin down rain here today. Actually,if you go into the regional forums and check out Canada, there were a bunch of us at the GTAMC picnic this past Sunday. The photos post is in a sticky at the top of the string with lots of pics. There's a couple of mine that Boomer took - it's the LL one with black Bullits and white stripe on the side. You can sort of get an idea of the look (from the front anyways).

Well - BAD news fellas. My wife decided she did not want me to lower the car. We had to come to a good compromise because I really want to do more modifications and not lowering it was not as important to me as other modifications.

I am disappointed but personally I don't mind the look my car has now without being lowered.

What a rollercoster of decisions I have been on. Thanks for the replys. Maybe in the future I may try this issue again.

I lowered mine last week and I had to do the camber plates/bolts. It put me -2.5 off

 

your WIFE decided....................that's too bad.

 

I guess you need to pick your battles...

 

dont feel so bad, my wife said no way on lowering as well, our last stang 95 gt vert was lowered with roush springs and tokico shocks, man was a harsh ride in detroit and toledo's terrible roads, I had to agree with her. so no lowering for my GT either.

I dont mind the stock look at all myself.

I lowered mine with the Steeda springs and took it for an alignment and I learned that I need to get the camber plates. I can't believe Ford decided not to provide a means to do any camber adjustment.

I know there is a process where you can do some adjustment with a bolt but I figure I might as well do it right the first time and just get the plates.
