That's awesome. I'm guessing you took a regular grille and went to work w/ a dremel/saw/etc? Sweet mod.

I took a regular grille without fog lights and cut it down to fit:

Then I attached it from the sides as seen here with some 1/4" countersunk stainless steel screws with metal backing plates.

I was surprised how well it fit in the space.

Cool Most Excellent fix!

Very nice work for a real problem in the lower grill area! And it looks pretty cool too! Say what about this idea. You could do the very same thing with one of the brand new Bullitt grills and eliminate the the Pony emblem in there all together!! I would love to see that done on one of our GT/CS's or on a Shelby GT. Anyone else thought of this as a possiblity. To as a way to fill in that big shark mouth hole down there in the bumper? Or have already done this, with one of the brand new Bullitt grills? Photo Shop piece anyone? "RC"

CalStang,

It could be done very easy with one of the bullit grilles, I decided to do it with a $10 ebay grille first to make sure it would work. Since I have the new grille above that removed the pony, I ended up liking the pony below.

Very cool. I know (insert name here) was making a prototype awhile back, but never finished it. Yours looks very good. How much is that grill?
