Lower control arm brace
Lower control arm brace
Just thought id share this... American muscle sells this brace for 60 bucks i believe.. I thought id make my own..
AM:

I dont have fancy machinery so just did it old school.. Got a piece of stainless steel tube, cut it to length.. Then build me up a nice fire and heated the ends and hammered them flat.:

Next mock it up and drill holes where they go.. Then just get u some bolts and washers from hardware store and bolt it right up.. I painted mine just for further rust protection even tho i used stainless. Here the finished product

Pretty simple and cheap and effective

nice! straight/bolted in direct 'shear', right at the heavily loaded bushings... bet that adds a lot more rigidity than most of the bowed/non triangulated 'tower braces' that would likely just bow further if enough deflection/force was actually there to push on them... I like this a lot, might just need to make a few
nice job!

It does. You just have not found them. There are two vertical holes that can be used. Search for Steeda G-Trac brace and you will see the holes I speak of if you crawl under the car... I have an 06 and indeed they are there.. I understand you have an 05... This made a huge difference once installed...
