So I went to winterize my Anna yesterday and I got most of the way through (fill tank, fuel stabilizer, wash and wax, battery tender...) and when I went to change the oil...BAM, my jack won't fit under the car!

I haven't changed the oil since lowering the car (obviously) and now I'm at a loss. I've tried to look through some local stores' websites here for low profile jacks but I can't find anything...

So, anyone out there with a lowered car do their own basic car service? If so, what brand of jack do you use??

Please advise - baby needs her fluids changed before going to sleep!

i just drive up on a couple of 2x4's enought to get the jack under the car, no need to make it any harder than it really is.

 

Hmmm....I don't normally have lumber sitting around so I never really thought of that - but it seems pretty obvious now! I know where I can pick up some scraps so I'll see if that does the trick.

I've just been using the scissor jack to get it started enough to get the floor jack under there. Not really a long term solution, but it gets me by for now.

 

Thats what I have done in the past.

 

I think I want to pick up a low profile jack for my car. The 3 1/2 ton floor jack I have now is about 1/4" too tall after I installed the Eibach springs. Or more to the point, after the Eibach springs settled it was too tall!

 

How long did it take for them to settle?
