Lightbar bypass switch

For those who have installed a lightbar on their convertible what have you done to shut off the brake light when the roof is up ?

Some have done nothing and don't mind the light turning ON when the roof is up.

Some have installed a manual switch to turn it off when the roof is off.

Some have installed a relay to control the light when the roof is up.

Let me know,

I will go with the light bar switch if I ever get the bar.

I had a manual switch installed when my CDC lightbar was installed, but I plan to change it to an automatic switch when Web Electric Products comes out with one for the '05+ Stangs. There are 2 or 3 vendors currently offering automatic switches (Saleen, for one), but I understand they do not use the factory connectors like Web does.

Saw that Roush is selling their Lightbar (which I beleive is a CDC) with a harness that bypas the light when the roof is up.

When I installed my bar I have noticed that there is a detection switch in the roof mecaanism on the passenger side, it's a two way swith that has 3 contacts (common, and two contact that closes when either the roof is up or down). I don't know if it's safe to tap to this swith as I don't have an electrical diagram and don't know where it's going. I think that where Roush connect their harness.

But anyone know more about that Roush bypass harness or the wiring diagram.

Thanks

The WebElectric site does not talk about compatibility with 05's.

Is it a splice type or connectors ?
