I live in new york and Im not sure if tinting the headlights or back lights are legal

I heard if u get into an accident the insurance might not cover it because it was harder tyo see the lights or some stuff like that
Im really intrested so if any1 has any knowledge on this id appreciate it

 

it is ILLEGAL in ny to even lightly tint your head or tail lamps and yes if the insurance company finds out about it they can drop your policy and or refuse to pay oput for accidents. i was gonig to tint the rear lights but that alone is not worth it to me
