Is this legal?
ok so Ill be switching out my front bumper to a GT take off sometime soon. since im going through the trouble I thought Id throw on the bullitt grill, cdc classic chin and smoked turn signal housings at once. my plan is to use the smoked housings with the small rectangular reflector in them. I would like to use LEDs and I plan to use amber 194 LEDs but I was wondering if it would be legal to use white 3157 LEDs for the larger socket, or if im bound to using amber for those as well.
i'd use amber just to be safe. theres a member on here with a white GT that has color changing LEDs turn signals. they go from white to amber...i forget the guy's username but he has a video on youtube.
I've been driving for a while with the factory bulbs (clear) in my clear corners for a while now. I'm not DOT approved at all, but I think It depends on the cop around you. I would advise to go with amber bulbs. I've just been sitting on my dead *** lately and not getting the stealth bulbs I should get.

I know in colorado, forward facing indicator lights must be amber. No forward facing light may be blue or red. Rear facing indicators may be red or amber.
It's been stated above, but for the stealth look get the clear looking bulbs that light up amber. That way you're legal.
Way off topic, but that is one killer car Tommy, very nice.
On topic, I have smoked front turns with the yellow reflectors and yellow bulbs. During the day you can hardly see them and the smoked tint is just enough to make everything blend.
Def checks local/state law.. there is a common misconception in certain areas, that some officers think too, that blinkers must be amber. When you actually read the statute it says amber OR white (again it depends on your area)
Edit:

I like the idea of those but they always seem blue-ish
