Is this legal?

ok so Ill be switching out my front bumper to a GT take off sometime soon. since im going through the trouble I thought Id throw on the bullitt grill, cdc classic chin and smoked turn signal housings at once. my plan is to use the smoked housings with the small rectangular reflector in them. I would like to use LEDs and I plan to use amber 194 LEDs but I was wondering if it would be legal to use white 3157 LEDs for the larger socket, or if im bound to using amber for those as well.

I've been driving for a while with the factory bulbs (clear) in my clear corners for a while now. I'm not DOT approved at all, but I think It depends on the cop around you. I would advise to go with amber bulbs. I've just been sitting on my dead *** lately and not getting the stealth bulbs I should get.

Best to check your local state ordinance concerning appropriate colors for indicator lights.

I know in colorado, forward facing indicator lights must be amber. No forward facing light may be blue or red. Rear facing indicators may be red or amber.

It's been stated above, but for the stealth look get the clear looking bulbs that light up amber. That way you're legal.

Way off topic, but that is one killer car Tommy, very nice.

On topic, I have smoked front turns with the yellow reflectors and yellow bulbs. During the day you can hardly see them and the smoked tint is just enough to make everything blend.

Def checks local/state law.. there is a common misconception in certain areas, that some officers think too, that blinkers must be amber. When you actually read the statute it says amber OR white (again it depends on your area)

Edit:
Sec. 14-96r. Color of stop lamps. Turn signal lamps. (a) Any vehicle, when required under sections 14-96a to 14-96aa, inclusive, shall be equipped with a stop lamp or lamps on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red or amber light, or any shade of color between red and amber, visible from a distance of not less than three hundred feet to the rear in normal sunlight, and which shall be activated upon application of the service or foot brake.

(b) Any vehicle, when required under subsection (b) of section 14-96e, shall be equipped with electric turn signals which shall indicate an intention to turn by flashing lights showing to the front and rear of a vehicle or on a combination of vehicles on the side of the vehicle or combination toward which the turn is to be made. The lamps showing to the front shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signalling, shall emit
white or amber light, or any shade of light between white and amber. The lamps showing to the rear shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable, and, when signalling, shall emit a red or amber light, or any shade of color between red and amber. Turn signal lamps on vehicles eighty inches or more in overall width shall be visible from a distance of not less than five hundred feet in normal sunlight. Turn signal lamps on vehicles less than eighty inches wide shall be visible at a distance of not less than three hundred feet in normal sunlight.

(c) Failure to have stop lamps and turn signals as required by any provision of this section shall be an infraction.

I like the idea of those but they always seem blue-ish
