somone needs to come up with somekind of switch or lever that will open and close the vents like a heater register in a house for hoods designed like this one and the GT500....wait...I think I just came up with a great idea!

well...it could be mounted on each vent...that way its default position is open, then when you wash it, just close the vents so no water leakes in...open them up when its dry...like this

Kinda good. But that wont work(without serious reglassing) on the TruFiber GTS1/GTS2 hoods which have the heat extractors built in.

I was trying to say that the next time someone designs a hood with extrators, they should have the ability to open and close...I wasnt thinking of a retro fit.
