What happens when dirt gets behind them? Do they come off and go back on easily? If not you will be able to see dirt from inside the car (unless you cover the window) and you would not be able to clean it. I'm a neat freak, that would really irritate me.
Once installed that is it. You do not take them off, well without damaging them of course.

I just don't know about bolt ons. If for some reason they ever had to come off then you would have holes in the side of the car.

These from the SEMA show are pretty Hott too. Pretty similar if not the same. They look cleaner than the one's from Roush IMO-- I guess because you can't see the screws ???
