How many S197 Saleen Clones?

Hi everyone,
just wanted to know if anyone has seen any 2005 or newer Saleen clones. I built one and I know of the blue one that showed up in MMFF magazine.

Wow, you really went all out on that. Looks good! How do you like the glassback? And if you don't mind me asking, how did the final cost compare to the price of a "legit" S281?

I bought the car for 29K and invested another 13K in parts. I did all of the engine work and about half of the body work my self to keep the costs down. My total cost so far has been 42K. A similar equipped real Saleen S281 SC would be about 62K but keep in mind I don't have the seats or upgraded brakes yet. I think that once I get a big brake kit and have my seats redone I will have saved about 15 thousand dollars

Wow that is some great work. Way to save money and have a sharp car! I never found value in the Saleen interior upgrades so what you did works out a lot better.

Thanks for the complements guys. I am going to start another interesting post about the Saleen Decepticon Car that is supposed to be in the new Transformers movie that is coming out. So far all of the cars in the movie are American. New Camaro, Saleen Mustang, Hummer etc. I bet the Ricers are really mad.
