i like the upr brackets. they didnt have those back when i got mine or i think i would have went with those.
you might not have the issue, but for those with the torsion clips on a dd the spring clips tend to slide off to one side or the other. i fixed that by rounding the corners off a 1/2" bench grinding wheel, and grinding a small spot of the top of the slide pin. they lock into the pin. after doing this mine have never moved again and with very little tension on the hood.

that looks really nice, nice hood too. the hoods are really floppy at 80+ or less driving into a head wind on the highway. the pins really do eliminate it completely. i wanted the old school, so i got shelby stainless pins. after a few yrs, not a trace of any rust( parked outside all yr dd) but i have had to replace the cables for looking bad.

Nice. I think they work well on your hood specifically because of that cowl. I bought the UPR hoodpins myself but when I mocked them up I didn't think they looked good on my hood at all (it's a good thing I never installed them because they wouldn't have cleared all the way through the CS6 hood):
BTW, if you ever get sick of black and want to go polished Aluminum, I still have my kit (aside from the test fitting, never used) I'd be willing to sell cheap.
