When I get upwards of up to 70 mph my hood vibrates up & down enough to bother me. I've heard good and bad things about hood pins. Convince me of it or give me another idea? Thanks in advance guys.

I bought lots of stock from them and AM, good service at both places.

If your hood is in fiber, you should have them ( for safety reason ) most after market fiber hood company require them.

 

Yes idiots will ask you if you that's a Shelby. I had the pins for awhile. I swapped them out with some Drake pins that were powder coated black and gray.

If you have an aftermarket hood, you just have to use hood pins. If you don't like the look of pins, they have some stealth pins that look a little sleeker, but it'll solve your vibration problem without question. My hood used to scare the **** out of me at speeds of 100+. Now it's rock solid.

some like them, some hate them...

call me old fashioned or whatever, but I think they are cool

mine are fordracing ones from summit, wouldnt recommend them though- made in china of course...too short for a S197, so mounted thru ss coupling nuts for extra height, pins advertised as 'stainless steel' except the ring itself is cheeply plated spring steel, rusts constantly...was a PITA, but got the rust to quit on the rings by sliding silicone model airplane fuel line over the springs, left it long enough it 'seals' against the pins and no more rust to keep clean- was a royal pain though getting it over the rings and putting them back together...

 

I would not think of using a fiberglass hood without pins. For 50 bucks you dont have to worry about eating a hood and maybe the windshield.

 

They're a lot more than 50 bucks!!!
