Got them locally at Discount TIre. I was shocked the Smoothie's were less expensive than Torque Thrust II. (Started to say cheaper but, since none of them are cheap didn't seem to fit)

I'm surprised Discount Tire didn't know what Smoothie II's were. The brand name is Boyd Coddington. The guys in towm here knew exactly what I was talking about, I said Coddington they new I wanted Smoothie's. They had to get them from 3 seperate warehouses so it took a week to get them.
The gasket on the C&L CAI in turned inside out. Can't take credit for it, another user suggested I turn it when I posted a pic of the engine bay. Very easy and looks much better on my car than the blue side.

The tires fill the wheel well, not the rim. 27" tire on a 20" rim gives you a total of 27" diamter. 27" tire on an 18" rim gives you a total of 27" diamter. Same space taken up. Not getting "mathematical on your ****" just stating the facts.

Polished on mine.
Note: I used Mothers Wheel polish and then Zaino on them last night. They really shine now. Also, Mothers is a great polish for the UPR products. I ordered all mine Satin and polished them with Mothers. They don't look Satin anymore. A great way to get polished accesories without the high cost.

Not sure if the you can get chrome. Discount tire didn't ask if I wanted chrome or polished. Chrome would be more expensive but, easier to care for. I wanted chrome but, I am actually happy with the polished. They recommended the Mothers Wheel polish, it is actually not a bad job at all.

Thanks, John. I thought I was all alone on this. One day we'll have to come up with a drawing or a video to explain it. Typing it is getting old.![Big Grin](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Tire Rack article on tire size

It seems like it would make more sense to use a 35 height. The radius of the wheel changes by 1/2 inch. The stock tire height is 55. A 20 mm reduction in tire height makes up for the 1/2 inch gain in radius. Although, it would actually be a slight drop since 20 millimeter = 0.7874016 inch
BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW
Size: 255/35ZR18 94Y

BFG 285/40R18 = 27" diameter
BFG 255/45R18 = 27" diameter
That is why I went with those because they are the closest to the factory size you can get.

I spoke with Boyd himself at the street rod nationals in Louisville recently. They have tried to chrome this wheel with no success. The separation line for this 2 piece wheel made it impossible
This is the only reason they are not on my car. I'm not sure I have the patience to deal with polished wheels.
