Help with tire choice/sizing
Help with tire choice/sizing
I wanted to go staggered with my new rims, but ended up getting a set of 18x9 razors all the way around. Is there a safe size I can go with in the rear to get a more meaty look?
And I've been looking at the Nitto 555Rs. Is there a better choice in that price range for getting some more stick???

I run the 18x9 AR Redlines w/255-45's on all four corners. Its very sticky and handles well. I'm pretty sure the Redline and Razors are the same offset @ 40MM. 555 Nittos may come in a 265-45-18 but you would have to check their spec sheet for tires sizes to be sure. That tire tire is a little bit larger in diameter and will set your speedo up a few more MPH but not enough to worry about.
Here is a pic of my tire set-up,it does look pretty wide out back for 9"wide wheels.

Nitto shows a NT555 in a 275/40R18 which is the closest to the 255/45R18. Check out the link for size comparison.

All other sizes that i checked will make your speedo off by at least 4mph in either direction.
The size 265/45R18 list by Poco is not a size listed on Nitto's web site. Like he said maybe they still offer them. We all know how web sites work(a little behind)

Running a 305/35/18 on 10's on mine in a Nitto 555DR 275/45/18 on 9's on front.
these are old shots before i lowered it with a BMR kit. very nice fit with no rub at all. Speedo was almost dead on. And if you have a programmer you can dial the speedo in perfectly.
