Help with a hood decision

Fine fellow Stangers,
Pretty set on wanting to change out my hood - but need a little input:
I tend to lean towards hood setups like the 'vented' one on that Black "King Cobra' from that Orlando show last week instead of a straight 'scoop'. I plan on paying for a good hood but want to watch exactly how much cash I spend to allow for some other mods.... anyway looking at hoods of this type and like the one of the Boy Racer.... more air to the engine great.... but (excuse the novice question) what the heck happens when it rains - and it tends to do that a LOT during summer down here in Florida.... ??? Problems??...
What I am really leaning towards right now is the Steeda cowl racing hood - and its right in my price range too - only questions are: would I have to have the same rain worries concerning the cowl portion just forward of the windhshield?... And also, more importantly, if you go to the Steeda 05 parts page and see the above pic of the black and yellow, it shows the hood perfectly. That looks awesome... but just yesterday I bought the latest issue of Mustang Enthusiast with the '05 Steeda Q (Red and black) on the cover - in the write up, it mentions the car having the Steeda cowl hood in the part list.
??
If you look at those pics in the mag and compare, the two hoods look quite different - the one on the magazine Q being quite tame and almost stock looking. And the one below looking much more baaaad [and on the one below, (yellow and black) what the heck happens to your washer fluid jets??...]
ANy info would be appreciated - thanks!!!!

Burke,
Check out threads by dhof303. He has that hood and had to create windshield squirter locations himself. I think the red car has a stock hood on it. There is quite a bit of crown in the stock hood, but the Steeda hood is noticeably different.
Finished car
Squirters
