Headlight Housings
Hey bud, while cleaning it at the MCA show in Canada, I did notice the color was not as black as before (jet black
). I contributed it to the car being out in direct sunlight from anywhere between 6-8 hours on a Saturday and Sunday, every weekend (I am a car show/cruise-in junkie). So I just get my Mothers Back to Black and make it look new again. So far it works well.
As far as "microcracks"?. That I haven't noticed at all. And believe me, when I was cleaning my car at MCA, I cleaned EVERYWHERE and got up close to the grill to get everything out.

Going to the Roslyn show?
Jeff, yea I know your car is CLEAN (my younger daughter still talks about it). The best I can describe "microcracks" are very thin lines in the plastic that are whiter than the surrounding black. A good example is around the fogs. There is a white line that looks like where the mold was closed. I'll give the Mothers Back to Black a try.

Which one would you recommend?
1) 950-73595 Center Light Style - Black Plastic

2) 950-74590 Center Light Style - Black Powdercoat Insert

From the looks, I like option 2) better. But I am unsure on the warping again. 1) looks more stable.
What do you guys think?
Hey, there are 2 out on SS page.

I won't be showing my car. It just gets too beat up as a daily driver to show. I'll see you at Roslyn.
The primary difference to me is how far from stock do you want to go. Number 1 has the stock honeycomb shape, while #2 is a much different look with the diamond pattern. If you go with #2, I would think you'd want to get a matching lower insert as well. I can't comment on warping, I just know that my #1 style never had a problem with it.
Here it is again:
I already have a 3dCarbon setup for both upper and lower grill. Quality of upper grill sucks due to warping.
I would go with SS option 2) but am not sure if this motha will warp too. This is why I was hoping to get some experience with anyone who installed Opt. 2).
If no one has done it yet (which is hard to believe), I will just give it a try and will let you guys know here, once I know...

Another option might be the Cervinis billet center fog grill. It's pricey, which could be why I've only seen one Mustang with it, but it is really sexy.
