Headlight Covers
Yikes! They must be bolted in or otherwise mounted. The headlight enclosures on my '96 were removable by pulling up a catch and sliding out the bolts that maintained the aim. They came out in one piece. In fact, I replaced them with Cobra lights.
I'll take a closer look this weekend. If I can't figure it out, I'll try taking the bulbs out a blowing in some air in there. There appears to be a little dust that should blow out.

Not so with the S197s... four bolts hold in the headlight assembly. You have to pull the bumper cover to access the lower two. While it's not that hard to pull the bumper cover it most definitely is inconvenient.
I'd see about trying to get an air hose in the bulb openings without R&Ring the headlight assemblies if at all possible.
