Halo lights

A long time ago I installed some halo fog lights and did a "how to". I finally got some halo headlights and installed them today. The headlights are made by Eagle Eyes and they're DOT stamped. They came with Philips H13 bulbs. Note that the new headlights have a cover in front of the bulbs but my OEM ones didn't. Don't know why Ford got rid of the cover in 2007. I like the bulb cover since I plan to get some HID's in the future and I heard that the cover helps with light scatter. Here's some pics...

You can see the bulb cover here

I'd love some night shots too. How are these made? Is it one whole assembly or what? I'm asking because our car has the HID option so I wouldn't want to screw those up.

What's lighting the halos? White LEDs?

Night shots coming soon.

The headlights are one whole assembly.

They're cold cathode fluorescent lights (CCFL).

I know it's not for everyone. It certainly turns heads cause people are so used to seeing halos on bimmers instead. Already gotten a compliment today while using the ATM. Dare to be different is all I have to say.

Can you post pics with your lights on also. I think if the trim was like a matt black or regular black it would look good on any car

but those do look good.

There's nothing wrong with BMWs. I've been looking more closely at the E92 M3.

I just wish they used white LEDs for the halo and DRL rather than CCFL.

Because in some '05 Mustangs, the bulb cover would distort, warp and flake its paint off due to heat from the OEM bulb.
