Halo fog lights

Ok so I'm going to do something a little bit different. I am planning on buying a set of halo fog lights that fit into our gt fog light spots and then have them mounted behind my gt500 grill. I have talked to a body shop that thinks its possible. Basically I cut up a stock gt500 grill and am melting the plastic together so that it becomes centered (doesn't need to be pretty) Then I'm shaving the front and back down as much as possible to keep this thin. Then I am going to try to have the body shop get these to fit.

Now here is my question. I have been looking for a good set of Halo fogs that fit and have had no luck. I bought a set on ebay which turned out to be cheap crap. Then I found a set and drove out to a store and they turned out to not fit. Then I found a final set online that did not look quite right. Has anyone purchased halo fogs that can provide a link to where I can buy them at? As well of a picture of them mounted? Im sick of blowing cash on crappy products and then having problems getting rid of it.

Thanks for your help!

Could you post links to the foglights you've already tried and are unhappy with?

sorry didn't notice the reply on this. I will try to look later (at work at the moment) but basically the ones I bought ended up being color changing so instead of HID's they looked bluish pink which was retarded. These were the only ones that I have found that fit. I'm basically hoping to find a hi def set that are ofcourse clear that simply have the option to turn the halo on first followed by the rest. I'll try to find a pic of these others when I get home. If anyone has any options please post away!

IMO, halos should be on a BMW's and that's it. Kind of like how Lambo doors should only be on Lambos.

I like them myself and think they give a sinister look to our cars. There was a member on here that had them, and also had pics. I forgot where he got them from> ill see if I can remember

Thanks all for the fantastic advice but personally the comparison between halo fog lights and lambo doors is a little insulting. Wasn't asking your opinions on it simply wanted links to where I can buy them. I think it gives a sinister look but because of the "bmw ricer" connotations I wanted them behind the grill stealth. But either way I personally could care less on the million opinions people have. Unless you wanna pay my car note feel free to kiss my ***. /rant off

Now back to topic... Clark if you could find the members name for me I would appreciate it. Could atleast send him a pm to where he bought them from. This is definitely not a mod most people do I have had problems even finding people with them to be honest to ask where they purchased them from. Any help you guys could give (positive preferably) is appreciated. Thanks a ton as usual!

I totally agree on the non-useful posts -- seems there's alot of that here, and it can get annoying.

No personal experience unfortunately, but I know StangMods has several halo fogs (full size replacement type, which I'm not completely clear if you're looking for) w/ installed pictures, as does American Muscle. The ones I'll likely get (cause I like them too in combo w/ parking lights) are on Ebay, smoked model:
05-08 FORD MUSTANG GT SMOKE CCFL HALO FOG LIGHTS 06 07

Only $85, and accept the HID kit from StangMods. Good reviews for this seller, too.

You could always look at the buyers on Ebay, and send them a message through Ebay asking how they like them.

Oh, and I don't know if it has to be so complicated to install behind the grille. Seems you could just put a couple of steel brackets secured to the frame of the grille (can you post a pic of the one you'll use?) and screw in the mounting tabs on the lights.

so these are the ones I got off the ebay auction that basically said that they would fit in the standard gt fog light sockets (don't think so) on top of they are blue with color changing rings. They ended up looking incredibly cheap unfortunately. I like the ones you posted and will definitely consider that. Actually I might end up simply buying these... This is exactly what I was hoping for!

fitted a pair today went to adjust them and that there is no clearance to drop the beam down will fit spacers behind the brackets so they have clearance between the grill and lights

To be exact, that person's last forum activity was from over 12 years ago on 3/15/10... I often wonder if even half these newbies actually bother to look at the dates of which the threads were last active on
