GT500 style splitter for GT/CS?
Ok, read every post I could find on splitters, including those by folks who modified a GT500 splitter for a GT bumper. I could not find much at all on either modifying a GT500 splitter for the CS, or a vendor who makes one for the CS. Since the bottom of the CS or Shelby front bumper is not flat, this is problematic I think for modifying a GT500 splitter. Has anybody out there found a vendor for a CS splitter? Or, has anyone found a good way to modify a current splitter to fit the CS? Obviously I could order a custom one from a couple of sources but I really don't want to spend thousands on a splitter. SHR has come through with the lower grill for the CS, maybe we could persuade them to make a CS splitter.....

I've asked about a splitter from Marcello in the past, but it seems its too expensive and not enough demand. Maybe he's changed his mind. I hope.
I was directed to this website, but I've never really seriously considered it.

Someone else mentioned that the Saleen splitter from the saleen extreme might work as it is similar but not the same as ours. However this was a thousand dollars at the time, and I never pursued it either for fear it would not actually fit.
Best of luck and I'll be checking back in to see if anyone has ever found anything.

I see APR doesn't list a Mustang which leads me to believe it would be a custom build and be expensive. I am wondering if the GT500 one could also be modified to fit the CS. The front does notch up a bit but perhaps cutting the outside edges to fit flush and leaving the center might work. I'm tempted to try it if I can get the GT500 splitter for as cheap as some have already done here.

For the GT500 splitter I looked at this the other night and it was the front corners especially at the wheel wells that concerned me on the fit. If you could get the GT500 splitter to work I think it would certainly look the best.
The APR has info on tracing the bottom of your bumper and then sending it in to them. I tis custom but it looked like all they do is cut it out of a sheet of carbon fiber or something. As it is just a flat splitter that they sell.

That might be problematic for the CS as it has the center notch. That is the problem with the GT500 I believe in that it is also flat across the whole splitter.

I still think the addition of a splitter on the CS front end could look good. I'm waiting for one of the members to send me pictures of their addition of a splitter to his CS front end before I decide if I want to give it a shot.

Redbullet sent me some pics of a GT500 splitter installed on a CS and it looks pretty good to me. Anybody else out there try this, or know of any aftermarket splitters for the CS besides the custom made ones?

I think it looks pretty good, especially where the splitter cuts in right where the notch is. It almost look like it is designed for the CS bumper. I just wonder if it is worth the headache to modify it. I will be lowering my ride shortly and one advantage is that I will scrape the splitter before I scrape the bumper. $80 for a splitter is much cheaper than replacing the bumper.

That's what I'm going to do too. I wish they would've come out with this one though, I like the way it looks (but the price quote I got, since it was custom made, was $800).

That was my thought process. for less than $100, I can fab up the GT500 splitter and if it gets scraped up after a while, do it again. Or, if I screw up the install, I can just bet another one.
