[attachmentid=21243]and for those of you with the Steeda strut tower brace - you will have to cut the intake cover a bit. I outlined where the brace bars contact the cover and cut out these areas - it fits fine now and looks "integrated". I'll try and get pics soon - just haven't learned how to use my new camera software yet.

PS - best way to cut the intake cover is to start a cut with the dremel then use an open hacksaw blade - cuts easily with the blade - but the dremel just melts the material and makes a rougher cut.

That intake looks good too, they compliment each other.

THat answers my question about fit with the strut tower brace. Thanks for being the guinea pig. So you cut the top of the plenum cover where the braces go over the top right? Is it noticable from the side?

Thanks everyone for the feedback - it did turn out OK and I was nicely surprised that both the JLT and the intake cover exactly match the exterior paint and each other.

Questions:

1. I only cut the top of the intake cover the width of the strut tower brace bars...and you will only need to go down the sides between 1/2" - 3/4" - so you can't really see it from the side....my pics don't really show how the bottom of the strut brace do "fit" inside the cut out of the intake cover....

2. Rene "Pony Girl" got us a nice deal on a group purchase of the intake covers...they were from Midwest Auto Gear in WI, 262.367.8254

3. Couldn't pass up a Vortech...are we talking SC.... ...may be my next mod!!
