A month later after I ordered my torq thrust II custom chrome wheels..American racing said that the 17x8 didn't fit (cause of the shape of the spokes)..only 18x8 fits,so it was too late...but I removed 1/4 of an inch from my front caliper and it works...here's some pictures

I show the car from different angles to see how far the wheels stick out...my wheels 17x8..32mm offset,5 3/4 backspacing are just even to the side...the tires:255/50r17 bf goodrich g-force kdws are just a little rounded

Matt...my tire size are 255/50r17.....and for you Mike ,the 18's are ok with a backspacing of 5 1/2(see Adrenalin's car,18x8 front).In the 17x8 I was able to got a backspacing of 5 3/4..it's just a little finger more than the stock wheels.
