These darn louvers are the hardest decision I've had to make since buying my car :bang:

First I was going with MRT (we all know where that went)

Then I saw these SS gen 2 but I think after seeing Kevin and Jessicas gen 1's, I like the gen 1 better.

I also like the 3D Carbon ones, I just think the angle of the photos they use don't do them justice. Has anyone heard of any problems with these?

[attachmentid=24469]

I wish I could see them all in person, it's tough to tell from the photos. Because louvers, being what they are look different at all angles.

You don't know how many times I had each one in my shopping cart and chicken out! :bang:

Right now, I'm leaning toward the 3D Carbon.

Just remember the 3D carbons are not "real" louvers, they have to be painted on, there are not slits there. They are fake. Allthough it helps to keep the dirt out , they might not look as good close up.

MRT is a bust for sure......

I say Gen 1 or 2's

What You mean you can't see through them? That stinks! I won't go with them then. :bang:

Do you like your gen 2's? They looked pretty good from the pics. Have any more pictures? Would love to see. I'm still holding out on the MRT for now. Did you see the pics of Kevins in the Gen 1 thread? They look nice too.

Thanks for the info!

I love the generation 2 SS louvers. They have a bit of a square look like the original louvers back in the 60's... yet they retain the shape of the window. I like them so much now that even if MRT had their's out right now, I still would get the SS generation 2's. But I also thought about the 3DCarbons, but don't like that they are fake.

Rene'... how are your louvers coming?

OK, finally got them on. After cutting the grass, I was losing day light, so the pics are a bit dark.

Here they are. I will get better pics tomarrow.

Love them. The fit is great. I was waiting for the MRT ones, but I have no doubt I made the right decision.

The 3D Carbons are nice if you dont want the "slits" in them
The Street Scene Gen 1's are good if you like the more bubbled look (real slits)
The Street Scene Gen 2's are good if you like the squared "retro" look (real Slits)
MRT are nice if you dont mind waiting until heck freezes over
ROUSH ones are nice if you like the oversized aggressive look ( real slits)

The Street Scene ones are nice and thick, very "hardy" material

I guess the real test will be tomarrow morning on the highway.....

I ordered from Mike at Street Scenes, He hooked me up with a vender and I got them in less than 5 days!

Thanks Orange mustang guy!!

Mine are on the way. Mustang Mike sent me this info when I pm'd him. I don't think he'll mind me posting it here.

Hey Tom- no problem- I hope Rene is happy with her Gen 2 louvers. We can handle this a couple of ways-you can call our customer service department at 888 477 0707 and we can try to find a street scene distributor near you or I can suggest that you go through the same route that Rene did. She called Muscle Car Direct at 888 800 8123. Frank, Mike or Cole should be able to help you. I think she talked with Cole. Make sure that they know you need a priority on the louvers and that you want them drop shipped to you right away. When they fax the order in to us, we will flag it. The guys at Muscle Car dont have their inventory of these yet cause they are brand new and hot, so we will have to drop ship them from here. They can put a priorty on it for you. Please let me know if I can be of futher assitance- Regards- Mike

I ordered my SSE ducktail through muscle car direct, and I highly recommend them. Great customer service, and they got it to me quick. And I researched prices on the SSE generation2 louvers. Cal-mustang has them for $10 less ($150) but I will still be placing my order through muscle car direct. It's worth ten bucks to me to make sure I get it quick and reliable.
