the gap in the front seems to be lower and the back seems a bit higher, I think when I get the cash I am going to get rear springs and lower the back. I think that will give it a nice stance

Thanks for the info. I hope this isn't the case, as I DON'T want to lower my car at all. I love these wheels, the price is a steal, but if the distance is greater than stock, then I may, sadly, have to pass on these. I'll wait to see pics of your car before I decide. Thanks again for the info.

This shouldn't be an issue. If you are running the stock 235/50ZR18s that came with your fanblades your total tire diamerter is 27.24". A 255/45ZR18 would have a diameter of 27.02". Here's the math:

235mm X .50 = 117.5mm X 2 = 235mm / 25.454 mm/in = 9.24" + 18" = 27.24"

and

255mm X .45 = 114.75mm X 2 = 229.5 / 25.454 mm/in = 9.02" + 18" = 27.02"

This is a perfect case example but tires do vary somewhat.

BFG says their 235/50ZR18 is 27.2" tall and has 759 revs per mile while the Toyo 255/45ZR18 claims 27.1" tall and 767 revs per mile. I don't know what the width of the 18" fanblade is so I'm guessing either 8' or 8.5" so going to the 9" wide GT wheel should give you almost the same tire height. You probably won't even have to re-calibrate your speedo. The shorter sidewall will give you a harsher ride but on the plus side will give you less sidewall flex.

Bob, thanks for the helpful insight. I was just worried of having that "too small tire look".

65 A Code - Go to http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tirecategories.asp I used the info from Sports Car / Proxes 4. If you have a different model then the revs per mile may differ a little. I have found that even in the same manufacturers product line that the same P-metric tire in a different series will have a different diameter, go figure.

05fordGT, here are the pics you requested. Just did get the car washed and pics taken before it rained this am. Also more I look at it, I don't think the back end is any higher up now.

But I do think I am going to lower it, car always has had to much wheel gap in the back.

Wow that looks amazing!!! Do you mind telling me how much you paid for the 4 wheels? You can PM me if you don't want to post it out in the open.

Got them here: http://www.ctrwheels.com/gunmetal.htm

They were on sale when I bought them, not sure if they still are. Best thing is just to call them up, and see what they have. They are great people to deal with, ordered them on a Monday afternoon and had them Wed.

Yea I emailed them about the chromes. I was just wondering what the gunmetals ran, since they are obviously a bit cheaper.

Thumbs up Looks ......

Smoke'n !!!! Now you need a big brake kit (front & rear) to complete the look.
Over all I say you made a great choice!!! Now I have another set of wheels to consider for my Shelby GT conversion.

What size wheels / tires did you go with? Also if you decide to lower it and you drive your mustang daily - I recommend a set of H&R OE Sport Springs.
