Filling Holes On The Aluminum Hood
I have the Roush hood scoop and don't like how it fits. I am thinking about going with the CDC shaker and when I remove the Roush scoop there will be 2 holes in the hood that will need to be filled. I spoke with my body shop and they said that if they the welded the holes close that the hood will bubble? I would like to fill the holes and get it painted but as cost effective as possible. Any suggestions?

I think we talked in PM's ??? but that is what I did. Had to fix 2 holes before I could install the CDC shaker. Used aluminum putty a friend had at his body shop to fill holes. Used aluminum plates on the backside glued to the hood under holes to hold putty in place then sanded and painted. Cost me $500 to fill 2 holes and paint the center of hood. You can use regular bondo I am told because the holes to fill are small enough and not too much heat is generated toward the back of the hood. Do the CDC Shaker!!!! Looks way better than the Roush scoop and it is functional.....
We did talk via PM's Scott and I appreciate your info. I was just wondering if there were any other ideas? $500 for the paint and repairs + $800 for the shaker is getting up there into some pretty serious money. Maybe I should look at other hoods as an alternative.
