I have been a reader of this forum for over a year and a half, but never felt the real need to join in order to post, until now.

Recently, I had a new fiberglass hood installed on my 2007 Mustang GT. I love how it looks but there is a problem that I have with the edges of the hood. They have some sort of pinholes around the edges. I counted as many as 50 pinholes/marks and there may be more. There are a few on the top of the hood, but they are mostly around the edges.

I want to know if this is to be expected with a fiberglass hood, or is it a lack of prepping done by the painters?

I am really upset with this, and have already gotten in touch with them to have it fixed. What would you do if you were in this situation?

Boy - that sure looks like poor prep work to me. Hopefully the painter will step up and correct this for you.
