Ive never personally ordered from RKsport but i hear good things about them. California Mustang has the same hood, unpainted as well. Ive ordered a few things from these guys and so far they have been great.

I paid $490.00 to have mine repainted. The first attempt was by an individual and it was terrible. A local Ford dealer did mine and it turned out great.

The amount you pay for the hood is a good estimate for body/paintwork on it...I paid $500 for the hood and about the same for prep and paint.

My situation was 2 fold.

1. The first set of hoods from RKSport had design issues and flaws. They offered to repalce my hood at a very low cost. I opted not to use them again.

2. The shop, and more specifically the person who did the "work" to the hood, ripped me off on the ~$3000 to "repair" the RKSport Hood.

All in all, I feel the 2 highest quality hoods out there are made by Cervini and Kaenen. We all know Cervini, btu Kaenen manuyfactures hoods for others, like Steeda.

Just my 2 cents.

Got the hood and love the looks of it. Fit and prep was a bear, tho.

Yah i love that hood ive seen it on a few cars in various different forums i like it a lot ...im thinking about purchasing it as well and took it took a picture to my local body shop and they said it would be around 400 for the paint job but ive also gone there for a lot of work so they cut me a little bit of a break on some things but its worth the money they do a good job

2 people I know that got it. 1 was unusable, the other guy spent over 1000 for fit/prep/paint.
I love the hood myself and really want one, but not if thats the case.

i am a painter by trade and did the work myself , as for the fitment it bolted right on . A little off on the hood lines , but thats a give and take with a aftermarket hood . i love the hood , and love the way it works with my intake . I oaid 300 for the hhod through a friend that changed his mind , and paint was of minimal cast to me . Other than that just time and effort
