well all i know is that i havent heard many good things, most threads i read were about them only being painted on the outside of the window scoops, so looked crappy from inside the car. so mostly negative comments, but i havent had any experience with them. good luck

Yo sodaman, I think you're talking about the side window louvers.
And I think AFChief is asking about their side body scoops, looks like DG sells those too off of eBay listed under pacificmotorsports...

Yes, the body side scoops. Wondering how they compare to Ford or other companies. The DG folks said they were slightly smaller than Ford OEM.

I have the side louvers from DG Customs and could not be more pleased with them. They look great on the car from inside or out. Like the way they are formed as you can actually still see out the rearview through them.

AFChief,

Just my opinion but I have seen the Quarter Side Scoops in person and they look bad. They are too small and they stand out like a sore thumb. I looked at them for my car but passed. I wanted the Ford scoops but when they went to almost $300 without paint I passed on them also.

I finally went with the 3D Carbon Scoops and I love them. I had to have them painted ofcourse but they look exactaly like the Ford scoops for half the price. The only screwy thing with the 3D Scoops is the crappy simulated mesh decal for the forward side of the scoop. It is really cheesy. I went to a local graphics shop and bought some matte black vinyl, cut it to fit, and stuck it on after paint. The vinyl looks good and way better than the 3D decal.

I bought my scoops from Atlanta Mustangs. The sell painted and unpainted. I went with the unpainted and had a local guy do it. If I did it over again I would have just got the painted ones because the cost for my local guy to do it was about the same.

Also they are held on with tape but I can tell you they are not going anywhere. They are very secure once installed.

Good Luck,

Ford's scoops are about 1/2 that now. That's the only reason I elected to go with the Ford product instead of the 3DC... they have the plastic honeycomb inserts. It appears that the DG scoops have the honeycomb inserts as well, but I don't like the lip that goes around them. It makes them look less OEM IMO
