Deep Dish Wheel Clearence Fit in 17x10" For "05-09" S197 Mustang *

i would like to put deep dish wheels on the rear of ol' fred to match the gray factory front bullit wheels but i want to stay with 17" size.(pref 17x10)but all i can find is 18" deep dish
is it poss to mount older(2004)wheels on the rear of the s197s with no clearance problems
if so what size tires would you recommend to fill the wheel weels nicely
thanks in advance

The 04 wheels will have less offset than the 05+ (approximatly +35mm on the 04 to around +44 on the 05). No matter what width / size, most likely they will extend out past the fender well.

Personally speaking, that was what I had in mind with my ride but while some really like the look (old skool muscle car) others scoff.... I think it looks cool and that is what matters...

Here is a pic of mine with 9x18" and 275/40/18, with a 1 inch spacer in the rear, from back to front showing the staggered look...

I've been running 17x9 black Bullits from 2002, no spacer. 255/45/17 up front, 285/40/17 on the rear, no spacers, no issues, on for about 10k miles
