Does anyone know where (preferably on-line) that I can find someone who does custom vert tops? I have ordere a torch red GT convertible and would like it to have a white top. Thanks.

Talk to a local upolstry shop -- they should be able to help you out. The difficulty will be in putting the top on -- not in finding the material. For that, you will need a pro, and it won't be cheap.

Oh, and after having two tan tops -- I will never again buy a convertible with anything other than a black top. It just gets so hard to clean, and sometimes down-right impossible.

:bang: Unless you're going to keep it indoors all the time, I wouldn't go with a white top. I had one years back, and like Rampant, it made me a lifetime member of the "never again" club.

Black is beautiful baby

I don't think they're trying to discourage you, just let you know that it is going to be somewhat of a chore keeping it white. If you're up to the task- go for it

oh, and invest in some 303

I had an 87 and then an 88 vert both with white tops years ago. The 87 was red and the 89 blue. I thought the white tops where beautiful and I worked hard to keep them clean but it was worth it. I used bleach on them but now that I think back, it probably was not a good idea. They sure where bright white though.

Where are you located. I know of at least 3 shops here on LI that do remarkable work. One replaced the top on my 76 eldorado and they did an incredible job.
