Custom Aluminum Quarter Window Scoops
Custom Aluminum Quarter Window Scoops
I guess some of you know I made a set of 60's style vented scoops for my car, but I also made a set of scoops that are on my son's '05 that are an original concept. Purely asthetic, but stylin' IMO.Check these out.

While not my "thing", I can definitely appreciate the effort and work that went into producing them, especially in a "one-off" set. Kudos for some very good fabrication skills! Very nice workmanship shown. We have had a couple people ask about our louvers in metal,, and while it's not feasible for us to do, this shows that something similar can be acheived with enough skill and effort / time put into them.
Nice job.
Nice job.
Hey, I appreciate that coming from you. I also have a set of vented 60's style scoops on my '05 that I made a year or 2 ago.

Also had a Procharger then. It's on my boy's car now.

Heck, I'm just an enthusiast who got carried away
But what you're doing takes skill and artwork - I was never good at forming by hand, and things like a brake, sand bag, wheel, etc.. while I understand their concept, I never had a chance to master the techniques. So to see it, especially on these new cars where so much of it is "bolt-on" or nothing, it's refreshing, and reminds me of the "old days" when I always had to be part fabricator because I knew what I was buying wasn't going to fit right and would need massaging to even get close... nothing like buying a brand new set of headers just to take a torch to them, or fabricating the entire #3 crossmember from scratch because nobody makes an adapter to put the trany you want in the car you want...
Anyway, nice work, keep it up! And if you ever want to do it for others, we occasionally get requests for stuff like this, and I really don't have anyone to send them to if you are interested I can put in a good word for you.

Hey guys, I really appreciate the comments. It's nice when hard work is recognized. I've got some other pics here, but the nuts inside of the scoops now have custom caps..I just don't have any pics right now with the caps. They really finish them off well.
