chrome trim bezel for our grills?

If you've seen the Parnelli Saleen, you'll notice it has a chrome bezel around the grill. Anyone know where I can get one?

Bump. I'm not aware of any, nor have I heard of anyone working on getting one out to the public, but I'm definitely interested.

Interested here as well! It would look perfect with the pony grille surround and some polished foglight bezels. Very retro.

A few of us have added chrome to the grill with chrome piping... Attached is what I did on my '05 and I plan to do it again on my '06 as soon as my Shelby GT grill comes in... It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but it's an idea...

I'd love to know what you used and how you did it. That's exactly the look I want.

I got the chrome trim at Pep Boys... I don't remember exactly which one (there were a few to choose from), I can go by and look... It comes in a roll and is meant for adding chrome trim to the door and fenders and such... It is in a "C" shape, which allows you to push it right on the grill... I did my original grill without removing it, but it's a ton easier if you do (especially around the corners). It has a 3M adhesive on the interior of the trim, so it keeps it stuck to the car well...

Iceknyght, it's funny that you used the door trim. I was thinking that would work pretty well, just hadn't got a chance to check out the grille on my car yet to see if it would fit. I've used the door trim before, on my 350Z, as a cheap grille mod. The stuff sticks well and will last a long time, especially if you put a dab of superglue on the ends, just so they don't peel up at all. Did you use it around your foglight bezels as well, or did you buy some bezels?

Well, luckily the ends of the grill are underneath the hood, so having them peel off isn't too much to worry about... I had it on that grill for almost a year with no problems... The grill that is shown is the Pony Package grill that I put on my old V-6, so all the chrome accents were already on there, I just added the outline...

Gotcha. I thought the foglights looked a little small for a GT. And yes, those strips are really durable, I had them on the front grille of my Z for around 8-10 months without any problems. I think I'll be looking into this for my car, if I don't like it, it's only $10 wasted.

Great idea Jay. I love the Parnelli looks also. I never thought of this. I even have enough left over from doing my interior door panels accents!
