New person - I think I still want the "GT" chrome letters put on by my dealer for a 2008 GTCS convertible just ordered last week (because it's black and because I think I'm being obsessive). Has anyone else done this? Pictures? Are they taped or drilled? Thanks, John

 

I think you gotta drill holes but, somone with a GT that has changed badges will answer up. I never had that desire myself but, to each his/her own!

 

Where are you going to put it? On the front fenders? Over the side stripe?

 

if you dont feel like drilling, just grind the back smooth and use automotive grade 2x tape. that way if you want to remove them in the future you can with out having to fill holes.

 

I am with Doug, no holes added please. 3M tape with be just fine.

 

Need to see live first but I was thinking under the tape letters or on the side scoops. Definately will use tape if doing this at all. Thanks.

 

Dont do it!... Leave your GT /Carroll Shelby or GT /California Special as is. OPT for the chrome mirror inserts..hoodpins or a sunroof. The package we all opted for is what makes our GT/CS special. Just my opinion. Also think the chrome bezel on the headkights or tail lights wouls set you car more than those standard GT badges. Can any one say 20 in chrome wheels?

 

yeah that wouldn't look good at all if you wanted a plain GT then you should have bought one, but you bought something special so keep it that way. any kind of chrome trim on a mustang looks tacky, and looks like an after thought.
